„History in Motion“

Since 2015, Flossenbürg concentration camp memorial hosts the annual workshop »History in Motion« with Czech and German participants trying out an artistic and creative approach to the history of the concentration camp in Flossenbürg. Community dance worker Alan Brooks guides guides them in transforming thoughts and feelings into dance and movement. Sharing common or different conceptions of history and the acknowledgement of a common past enables them to a cross-border encounter.
Interested youths do not need any experience in dance or theatre whatsoever. The workshop is funded by the BJR and Tandem, the coordination centre for German-Czech youth exchange.
